Comments:

These ships have the similar hull, machinery as the DOĞAN and YILDIZ class ships but are bigger and heavier.
They have a redesigned mast and superstructure for reduced radar cross-section. These ships can make 24 knots in sea state 5.The bulwark, had as she was launched, had been removed later.
P-330 KILIÇ was built in Germany.
The first batch of three ships are called KILIÇ-I program and the second batch of remaining 6 as KILIÇ-II program. The planed commissioning date for the last ships is in 2009.

Comments:

These ships have the same hull, machinery and almost the same weapons as the DOĞAN class. But these are fitted with better combat control systems (STACOS) and sensors. Both were built in Turkey.

P-325 MELTEM was lost due to a collision with the Russian training ship Khasan 25 September 1985. She was later salvaged and scrapped.

Comments:

On 23 August 2007, a contract was signed between SSM and Dearsan Shipyard. This shipyard was chosen to build 16 New Class Patrol Boats for Turkish Navy. This class of patrol boats will conduct patrol, security and ASW duties in and around important harbors, bases and at their approaches.
 
Dearsan will build these boats in 4 batches. One of the important goals of this project is to have %69 of indigenous input. This is the largest project to day where Turkish Navy outsourced the construction of ships to private shipyards.
