TCG Oruçreis in Portsmouth

Royal Navy webiste reported that F-245 TCG Oruçreis was in Portsmouth. She took part in a electrionic warfare exercise along with D-646 FNS Latouche Treville, F-802 HNLMS De Zeven Provincien, F-101 SPS Alvaro De Bazan and F-312 HNOMS Otto Sverdrup.

According to RN the exercise is aimed at enhancing NATO’s knowledge of ship and task force defence and testing the joint workings of weapon and sensor systems.

HMS St Albans’ Commanding Officer, Commander Adrian Pierce, said: “This will be a challenging and exciting opportunity to work closely with our allies. The focus is the performance of NATO electronic warfare systems against a variety of anti-ship missile threats.” Click here to read more.
